Psi Phi Org - David Henderson (Chairman, Reunion Committee; Founder; Chief of Operations)
Citadel de EK - Kristen Zidon (Communications Officer) and Elizabeth Koprucki (First Officer; former Grand Nagus)
Simkus Vbah - Robert Ray (Alumni; Founder; former First Officer)
Xeen the Paladin - Eric Wills (Grand Nagus)
SirJoelI - Joel Oberdieck (Alumni; former Grand Nagus, First Officer, and Captain)
LordKinak - Landon Winkler (Alumni; former Constable)
Elf Tao - Lyz Liddell (Alumni; former Captain)
rwoods81 - Ryan Woodrow (Captain; former Grand Nagus)

Psi Phi Org: Robert and I were discussing T-shirt ideas combining previous designs.
Psi Phi Org: e.g. Hug me, Psi Phi. There is a theory that this has already happened.
Psi Phi Org: Or: Better Geek than Natural Stupidity.
Simkus Vbah: Psi Phi: A Better Sci-Fi Geek's Last Best Hope
Psi Phi Org: At the moment, we're discussing T-shirt designs for the Reunion.
Psi Phi Org: We will also be going on to other topics.
Xeen the Paladin: What ideas have been had?
Psi Phi Org: Combining previous ideas:
Psi Phi Org: Hug me, Psi Phi. There is a theory that this has already happened.
Psi Phi Org: Better Geek than Natural Stupidity
Citadel de EK: Switching to Elizabeth instead of Kristen for this chat room now...
Xeen the Paladin: I am also proxy representing Jon
Citadel de EK: *cracks up at tshirt ideas*
Psi Phi Org: Any other fun ideas?
Simkus Vbah: front: One of the ideas above. back: Psi Phi: It's Continuing Mission...
Citadel de EK: Dave, do you have the list of all the t-shirt slogans we've used?
Psi Phi Org: Science Fiction's Last Best Hope, The Douglas Adams shirt, Better Geek than Greek, Hug me I'm a Sci-fi Geek, Artificial Intelligence.
Psi Phi Org: Plus this year's two designs, <geek> </geek>, and The scores are in.
SirJoelI: "Psi Phi: ten years and we still can't come up with a decent slogan."
Xeen the Paladin: Mebbe that on the front, and on the back "To seek out new nerds and new forms of geekinesss"
Xeen the Paladin: Unless there's something more clever that rhymes with civilization
Psi Phi Org: To seek out new nerds and new geekilizations
SirJoelI: "No Report"
Simkus Vbah: <front> Psi Phi: Promoting science fiction, fantasy, and related genres on the Bradley campus... <back> ...and all worlds beyond.
Simkus Vbah: straight from our constitution
Psi Phi Org: Might sound a little better on a shirt with "at Bradley" instead of "on the Bradley campus".
Xeen the Paladin: Brevity is the soul of wit
Xeen the Paladin: -Bill Shakespeare
Simkus Vbah: what else can we work on planning for the reunion dave?
Psi Phi Org: That's how "Better Geek than Greek" was born. One idea suggested (I think by Carl) was "It's better to be geek than to be greek", and I shortened it up a bit.
Simkus Vbah: bad shirt idea: <front> What are we going to do tomorrow tonight Brain? <back> Same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over Psi Phi
Elf Tao: very bad shirt idea.

Psi Phi Org: Talent show?
Psi Phi Org: Kevin and I were thinking of, those people who play an instrument or sing could do so; those people who have written stuff (e.g. Lyz) could read an excerpt; those people who like to act or improvize could perform on stage; etc.
SirJoelI: and Kenny could see how many people he could get hit by simultaneously for making horrible puns
Psi Phi Org: Yes! Stand-up comedy!
Simkus Vbah: I have poetry I could read, so that is not biggie for me.
SirJoelI: I could show off my map(s), but that's about it.
Citadel de EK: I could show jewelry and art!
Psi Phi Org: Of course participation would be optional.
Psi Phi Org: Ryan had the though of doing "Whose Line is it Anyway?: Psi Phi Edition".

Psi Phi Org: Hoedown! o/` Ohhhh, eidi-diedi-diedi-diedi-diedi-diedi-do! o/`
Psi Phi Org: Or, wait, that's Irish Drinking Song.
Xeen the Paladin: Speaking of which, booze?
Psi Phi Org: No.
Xeen the Paladin: didn't think so
Psi Phi Org: If we hold it on campus, that's not allowed. And if we hold it off campus, I still don't think it's a good idea.
Xeen the Paladin: Agreed
Psi Phi Org: Re: jewelry and art, definitely.

Citadel de EK: I'm leaving now - Kristen will be back shortly
Citadel de EK: She suggests hiring Barbecue Kitten (improv group)
Citadel de EK: http://www.bradley.edu/campusorg/bbqkitten/
Citadel de EK: The BBQ Kittens improv group webpage. They're quite funny.

Psi Phi Org: Next idea: Psi Phi scrapbook.
Simkus Vbah: I wish I had some pictures from my time at Bradley, but I do like the idea.
Psi Phi Org: Collecting pictures from Psi Phi alumni (and current members) from Psi Phi events, or just of Psi Phi people.
Xeen the Paladin: Maybe flyers from psi phi activities
Psi Phi Org: Also collecting stories. Funniest Psi Phi moment, your first Psi Phi experience, etc.
Psi Phi Org: I do have some very old Psi Phi brochures.
Psi Phi Org: I don't remember where I saw them but I noticed them a couple weeks ago.
Psi Phi Org: I know Psi Phi was mentioned at least once in the Bradley Scout, our first semester. Don't know if it was ever mentioned again.
Psi Phi Org: I wonder if I still have that Scout anywhere.
Xeen the Paladin: Does the Scout keep archives?
Simkus Vbah: I prolly have a copy of it somewhere at home, not certain though
Psi Phi Org: I was thinking about that. If so, maybe they would give us one, or at least let us make a copy of the page.
Xeen the Paladin: Shall I check in at the Scout on Monday?
Psi Phi Org: Yeah, that would be great.
Psi Phi Org: Lemme find the date/issue number...
Citadel de EK: <--Kristen
Citadel de EK: Doesn't the Scout have archives online? Or do they not go back that far?
Xeen the Paladin: I dunno
Psi Phi Org: It was in the Fusion section from March 31, 1995.
Psi Phi Org: We were talking about the Psi Phi Scrapbook idea.
Elf Tao: hm, fill me in?
Xeen the Paladin: With pictures and Scout articles
Xeen the Paladin: and other goodness
Elf Tao: from the last 10 years?
Citadel de EK: And memories of Psi Phi
Psi Phi Org: Yeah, collecting any photographs that alumni may have.
Elf Tao: and then photocopying it and passing them out?
Psi Phi Org: Yes. Maybe making a nicely-bound one if we have enough stuff, and depending on cost.
Xeen the Paladin: Keep it for posterity
Elf Tao: I think it's a good idea...

Citadel de EK: David, do you have a list of items we were going to discuss? Like t-shirt ideas, scrapbook, that sort of thing?
Citadel de EK: It might be useful, though, for a broad list so we can think of ideas relating to them.
Psi Phi Org: Starting earlier in the day with stuff of general interest; stuff later in the day gets more Psi Phi-specific.

Psi Phi Org: Trivia contest?
Citadel de EK: Also, will the trivia contest be Psi Phi, sci-fi/fantasy, or general? Or all of the above?
Psi Phi Org: Probably a mix of all. We can have different categories.
Psi Phi Org: Psi Phi history, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, current events.
Citadel de EK: Star Wars, Harry Potter?

Psi Phi Org: Someone take pictures and/or video at the event for posterity
Xeen the Paladin: I'll photograph
Citadel de EK: I'd recommend multiple photographers.
Xeen the Paladin: I have only one me to volunteer
Elf Tao: like everyone who owns a camera?
Citadel de EK: Maybe get some disposable cameras and put them on tables. If anyone wants to take a picture, they can grab one of the cameras, take the picture, and then put it back.

Psi Phi Org: Nice pin for attendees.
Citadel de EK: The round kind of pin, or the shaped kind?
Citadel de EK: Well, round is a shape, but whatever.
Psi Phi Org: Not a button. Maybe a custom shape, depending on how much extra that costs. Or maybe just a square or another regular shape.

Psi Phi Org: Costume contest?

Psi Phi Org: Ryan, did you find out anything else about what rooms are available which weekends?
Psi Phi Org: We could just fill out a bunch of requests and submit them to see which ones get rejected.
rwoods81: I haven't checked since the last meeting.
rwoods81: That would probably work best.

Citadel de EK: Board games might be a good idea. Trivial Pursuit, Taboo, Outburst...
Xeen the Paladin: Munchkin
LordKinak: Fluxx, Munchkin.
Xeen the Paladin: Star Munchkin
LordKinak: Munchkin Fu.
Simkus Vbah: I have the Lord of the Rings editions of Risk, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and Chess, as well as a Harry Potter Chess Set
Psi Phi Org: I have Simpsons Chess and LOTR Monopoly.
Psi Phi Org: And SW Monopoly and the Buffy board game.
rwoods81: I have the Star Trek 25th Anniversary Trivia Game
Simkus Vbah: I ahve Simpsons Chess, in Phoenix though
Psi Phi Org: And Star Trek Uno.
Simkus Vbah: I have 2 Star Trek Board Games as well (no clue how to play them)
LordKinak: We have Hero Quest, the expansion, and Buck Rodgers, battle for the 25th Century!
LordKinak: Ooo, and Solarquest.

Psi Phi Org: Also I have many Harry Potter and Star Wars Lego projects, and Star Wars Puzz3D's, which could be used to decorate the room.
Citadel de EK: I think Legos and puzzles might be good for things like that as well--you could have stuff to fiddle with but no obligations like in a game.

Elf Tao: I'd love to have a chance to - without the pressure of "activities" - sit down and chat with some of the people I've never met (like rob) and/or pepople I haven't seen in a long time
Elf Tao: that's my thought - so if we could have a loungey area or go to one world or somesuch.
rwoods81: Maybe have a lounge area with the games available.
Psi Phi Org: That may work with the idea Ryan had of getting two rooms for different events. e.g. if we got one of the ballrooms and the alumni dining room, we could have activities in one and a lounge in the other.

Citadel de EK: Name-tags would be a good idea.
Elf Tao: nametags I think should be a must.
Citadel de EK: Maybe have a most creatively decorated nametag contest :-)
Psi Phi Org: Include name, years, and positions.
Citadel de EK: Wow. Giant nametags.
Psi Phi Org: Maybe have them pre-printed?

Elf Tao: it would be good ot have a time that everyone could be there and introduce, say who they are and what they majored in and what they're doing now, etc.
Elf Tao: someone once mentioned having a meeting - I think that's a great idea
rwoods81: We could save that for the dinner when everyone is there.
Elf Tao: a special occasion meeting, not really so much to accomplish anything but to just get everyone in the same place with some sort of organization
Elf Tao: I think that would work - a dinner meeting!
Psi Phi Org: We could have Officer's Reports, then everybody who was Captain would give a report, etc.
Elf Tao: I think it'd be neat just to give everyone a chance to talk if they wanted to
Citadel de EK: And the constable will have to sit next to the maximum pun offenders, I think
Citadel de EK: So between David and Kenny
Citadel de EK: probably
Simkus Vbah: you would probably have an easier time controlling Kenny than David
Citadel de EK: Have you ever met Kenny?
Simkus Vbah: Nope
Elf Tao: there's the problem.
Xeen the Paladin: Should we acquire additional constables? just in case? We can give them red shirts and phasors

Psi Phi Org: I think Kenny should get up on stage and sing Simpsons showtunes.
Elf Tao: and why do you think that, David?
Psi Phi Org: Because he knows all of them by heart without a lyrics sheet.

Elf Tao: I make a mean pecan pie.
Elf Tao: I can probably get home a day or two before the reunion and make one to bring?
Citadel de EK: Perhaps there could be a pre-reunion baking party where people make pies and cookies and brownies
Citadel de EK: But only if we're not in the Student Center
Psi Phi Org: Right... food in there supposedly has to be catered.
Simkus Vbah: so we have the pre-reunion baking party at David's place
Psi Phi Org: Other than the "at David's place", it sounds good. :-)
Elf Tao: how about my parents' house? it's close.
Elf Tao: as long as it wasn't late.
Citadel de EK: And Crispix mix and Puppy chow and worm guts...
Xeen the Paladin: I could make fallout cake, I'll need glowsticks

Psi Phi Org: Oh, somebody should perhaps check with Habitat for Humanity to see if they're doing the Shack-a-Thon early again next semester. If so, then maybe we could try to hold the reunion the weekend before or after that...
Psi Phi Org: ...in case anyone wants to stay or come early for that.
Psi Phi Org: It would only work if they don't go back to the more usual November timeframe.

Psi Phi Org: Maybe do this again next weekend?
Citadel de EK: Did we accomplish anything?
Psi Phi Org: Maybe. I'll have to go over the transcript to find out. :-)
Psi Phi Org: Certainly a lot of new ideas popped up. I'll sort through them and bring a list to the meeting on Wednesday.
Elf Tao: I'll be interested to read it in the minutes.
Elf Tao: *hint, hint*

Simkus Vbah: One other thing that we might want to look at is once we have a date checking with hotels in the area to see what kind of deals we might be able to get.
Simkus Vbah: besides hotels rental cars might be good as well
Psi Phi Org: There's someone in the club who has a... hmm, either a friend or a brother, who works at a hotel in Morton (about 25 miles away), who might be able to get discounts for people who want to stay there.
Psi Phi Org: And checking on group rates would also be good.
Simkus Vbah: yeah. might be able to get some good rates and make it just that much easier for everyone to have something set up ahead of time.
Psi Phi Org: Especially if we can make shared room arrangements, to keep the number of rooms down.
