+ 1 - 0 | § Yard signs

It's interesting looking at the political yard signs around here. From looking at them, you'd think the only race is for State Representative. I've seen a ton of signs for Aaron Schock, and about two-thirds as many for his challenger, Bill Spears; these signs have been up for a few weeks now. Until a couple of days ago, though, I hadn't seen a single sign for governor. I think it was while I was driving to work on Wednesday that I finally saw one sign for Rod Blagojevich (as of today I've seen two), and this evening on the way home, I finally saw one for his challenger, Judy Baar-Topinka. I've seen more yard signs for Bark in the Park than for the gubernatorial candidates combined!

So, getting back into the regular blogging thing...

Last Friday, I woke up with a massive headache, so strong I could barely even get out of bed. Stayed home all day feeling miserable. Friday night, felt well enough to get out of bed, take a couple Tylenol, and get back into bed.

Saturday, felt much better. Went over to Xeen's and watched Donnie Darko, which I haven't seen before. About halfway through, Xeen, Marisa, and I went to get Joe and we all went out to dinner at Perkins. (On a side note, Joe now has two kittens in his apartment, who are called Nibbler, named after the Nibblonian character from Futurama, and Patches III, after my own Patcheses I and II.) After dinner, we returned to watch the second half of the movie. I have to say, it was an unusual movie.

Sunday evening, I went into work for a few hours. We've got a deadline coming up and it will probably be close, but I feel pretty confident that we'll make it in time.

Monday morning, I couldn't find my glasses when I woke up. I usually set them on the nightstand right next to the bed, but they weren't there, nor were they on the floor next to the nightstand, nor were they under the bed. I had to wear my old pair from April 2005, which were much less strong than my current pair, and also rather scratched up. I finally found my regular glasses Monday evening; apparently I had set them elsewhere on the bed the previous night, instead of on the nightstand, and they got mixed up in the blanket. I suppose going two years between glasses-losings isn't so bad. :-)

I've started work on a Historical Schedule for The CW, which is fairly small at the moment, seeing as the network just started last week. Hopefully this will go better than my Historical Schedule for UPN, which only lasted from July 21, 2003 to December 30, 2004. Then again, a year and a half is above average for my random projects, so who knows how long I'll keep this one up.

I dropped Josh off at the Peoria airport today at about 2:35pm. By 2:45pm, he was checked in, and I came back to work.

Tonight will be difficult.

According to Josh, it's my fault that he hits me.

When we have an argument, if I make a clever remark, he will grab my chest, hit my back, slap me, or otherwise perform physical violence to me. "I didn't mean to hurt you", he says, but I know that he really doesn't mean it.

He doesn't want me to post this. Duh. He says that I'm doing this to hurt him. Yep.
